Thank you for visiting our web site. If you want to use our web site or buy products from us you can only do so in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this web site and/or ordering products from this web site. The Privacy Policy,, Contact us, Cancellations and Returns and, Delivery sections also form part of these terms and conditions (together referred to as "Terms") and should be read also.

If you are not happy to be bound by these Terms (note in particular the disclaimers and limitations at term 13 ) please exit the site. If you use the web site and/or place any orders you will be bound by these Terms.

1. Who are we

Welcome to the web site of RNLI (Sales) Limited whose registered office is at West Quay Road, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1HZ. Access and use of this site is provided by RNLI (Sales) Ltd, a trading subsidiary of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution ("RNLI"). For further information about us see the Contact us section. For the purposes of these Terms, "we" or "us" or "our" refer to RNLI (Sales) Ltd and "you" or "your" refer to you the user of this site and/or the customer purchasing products from this site.

2. Changes

2.1. We change the format and content of the site from time to time. You should refresh your browser each time you visit the site to ensure that you access the most up to date version of the site.

2.2. Please note that we may change these Terms at any time, in which case the amended Terms will be posted on this site. The amended Terms will apply from the date we post them on the site (see date at top), with the exception that any orders that we have already accepted from you before the new Terms are posted will continue to be subject to the Terms in force when your order was accepted). Please check these Terms on each occasion you use the Site. Your continued use of the Site will mean you accept the latest Terms.

3. Accessing this site:-

3.1. Before accessing this site you should obtain permission to do so from the telephone bill payer.

3.2. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to deny any user access to this site or any part of it without prior notice.

4. Use of this site

You agree to only use this site in a manner that complies with all applicable laws and regulations and is consistent with the Terms and does not infringe the rights of anyone else, nor restrict or inhibit their use and enjoyment of this site.

We take your privacy very seriously and will treat all of your personal information in accordance with all applicable data protection laws in England and Wales. Please read our Privacy Policy.

6. Ordering Products

Please see the Delivery section for information on delivery.

6.1. All orders that you place on this site will be subject to acceptance in accordance with these Terms.

6.2. All orders for products are subject to availability and we reserve the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company.

6.3. If you are under 18 years of age, please do not place an order with us. We will be pleased to take an order from your parent/guardian.

6.4. If you are buying alcohol as a gift - the recipient must also be over 18 years old.

6.5. Your submission of an order represents an offer to purchase the products indicated by you, and is not binding on us until we have accepted your order. This means that if a product is shown on the site but is not available or is incorrectly priced or otherwise incorrectly described or if we are unable to arrange delivery to your country or region, we will not be obliged to sell you that product.

6.6. Shortly after we receive your order, we will acknowledge it by email. This email is issued automatically and does not mean that your order is accepted.

6.7. Acceptance of your order for a product and completion of the contract between you and us will take place when we dispatch the product to you. Any products on the same order which we have not dispatched to you do not form part of that contract.

6.8. If we do not accept your order for any reason, we will notify you to explain why, and we will re-credit your credit or debit card with the full amount of any sums debited in respect of any part of the order we have not accepted.

6.9. We do not file details of your order for you to subsequently access direct on this web site, and so please print out these Terms and the order acknowledgement for your own records.

7. Specifications

7.1. All sizes and dimensions of products as indicated on this site are approximate but we make every effort to make sure they are as accurate as possible.

7.2. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of the images that appear on the site. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery.

8. Price and Payment

8.1. Prices of products listed on our web site are inclusive of any VAT which may be payable by you. All prices displayed on the web site are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling. Any delivery charges are additional and the amount of delivery charges payable will be shown as part of the order form before you complete your order. Details of delivery charges are available at the Delivery section. If the products are to be delivered outside the UK, you are responsible for any applicable customs duties or taxes in that country, and not us.

8.2. We reserve the right to change prices listed without notice.

8.3. The price you pay is the price displayed on this site at the time we receive your order apart from where an error has occurred in displaying the price. While we try and ensure that all prices on our site are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of products you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the products, you will receive a full refund.

8.4. Only credit and debit cards are acceptable as payment for orders via this site.

8.5. We will charge your account for payment at the time that the order is dispatched for delivery to you.

9. Delivery and Availability

9.1. This site is only for delivery of products to customers in those countries set out in the Delivery section.

9.2. We make every effort to deliver products within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable. We will endeavour to keep you informed of any delay to your expected delivery date. If we fail to deliver your order within 30 days we will notify you of the reason for the delay and you may cancel your order. If applicable, your card will be refunded. We will have no other liability to you in the event of delay in delivery.

9.3. All deliveries will be made to you at the address specified by you in the order or to a neighbour. We may, at our discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately. You will be responsible for the products as soon as they are delivered.

9.4. If we cannot deliver the products to you at the address you have specified for any reason (other than when we are at fault), we will notify you and store the products.

9.5. You will become the owner of the products you have ordered when the products have been delivered to you and you have paid in full.

10. Cancellations and Returns

10.1. Orders may be cancelled and products returned in accordance with our Cancellations and Returns Policy

10.2. If the product you have ordered is unavailable we may supply you with a suitable substitute. If you do not wish to accept this substitute you may return it to us and we will issue you with a full refund.

11. Intellectual Property Rights

11.1. You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in this web site and all photographs, designs, images, text, graphics, software, music, sound, data and other material in this site or generated by this site shall remain at all times vested in us or our licensors. You are permitted to use this site and this material only as expressly authorised by us or our licensors.

11.2. You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained within this web site is made available for your personal non-commercial use only and that you may only use and download such material and content for the purpose of using this web site as a shopping resource. You further acknowledge that any other use of the material and content of this web site is strictly prohibited and you agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content. 12. Disclaimers and limitations

12.1. The products which are sold via this web site have been designed to comply with the statutory legal requirements and relevant safety standards of the United Kingdom. We can therefore make no representation or warranty that any product provided via or referred to in this site is compliant with health, safety or other legal requirements which apply outside the United Kingdom or are otherwise suitable for use outside of the United Kingdom. You may not access this site from countries where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you do access this site from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

12.2. We take every reasonable care to ensure that your order and subsequent transactions are conducted via a secure link. However, the security of information and payments transmitted via the Internet cannot be guaranteed and as we are not responsible for the operation of the secure link we will not, unless we are negligent, be liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any information you provide.

12.5.1. loss or damage was not reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you commenced using the site or when a contract for the sale of products by us to you was formed;

12.5.2. loss or damage was not caused by any breach by us, our employees or agents; or

12.5.3. loss or damage relates to business and/or non-consumers (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure).

13.1. This site may contain links to other web sites. Such links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control such web sites and are not responsible for their contents. The mere inclusion of such links does not imply any endorsement of the material on those web sites or any association with their operators. 14. Severance

If any of these Terms should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country which apply to these Terms, then to the extent and within that jurisdiction in which that Term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and the remaining terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

15. Alterations

These Terms cannot be altered without the written permission of a director of RNLI (Sales) Ltd.

16. Waiver

If you breach these Terms and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these Terms.

17. Events Beyond our Control

We will not be liable to you for any delay in delivering your order or breach of our obligations, if the delay or breach is due to acts of God, civil commotion, riots, strikes, malicious damage, floods, drought, fire, flood, legislation, failure of ISP or telecommunications provider or other cause beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your statutory rights.

18. RNLI (Sales) Ltd and/or the RNLI shall be entitled to directly enforce the provisions of these Terms, and to take the benefit of any rights or any limitation or exclusion of liability in these Terms.

19. Law, Courts and Language

These Terms, use of this site and the supply of products by us are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with English law. In the event of any dispute arising in relation to these Terms, use of this site or in relation to the supply of any products by us the English courts will have jurisdiction over the dispute. These Terms and this site are provided in the English language only.

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. For information about your statutory rights visit the Department of Trade and Industry's Consumer Gateway web site at http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk.

Cancellations and Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your order and so offer you a right to cancel your order and return the product in the circumstances detailed below.

Our Watertight Guarantee

In addition to your normal legal rights referred to below, we offer a Watertight Guarantee. If you are not happy with your purchase, simply return it to us, unused and in its original packaging, within 60 days, for a full refund or replacement. The Watertight Guarantee does not apply to:-

  • products which have been personalised to your requirements, for example where a name or a photograph supplied by you has been added to a product
  • videos, CDs, tapes or computer software once you have opened them
  • perishable products (e.g. food and flowers)
  • periodicals or magazines.

Damaged, incorrect or substitute products

If you receive damaged products or the wrong product is sent to you or we supply you with a substitute for a product which is unavailable and you do not want the substitute, you should notify us as soon as possible. You may return the products using the FREEPOST address and a replacement or full refund will be provided. To arrange please contact our customer services department on 0845 126 6999.

Statutory right to cancel

You also have a statutory right to cancel your order for products purchased from this site by notifying us in writing within 7 working days of you receiving the product (i.e. 7 days not including weekends and bank holidays and starting the day after we deliver the product). You must take reasonable care of the items until they are returned to us and must not use them.

This right to cancel does not apply to:-

  • products which have been personalised to your requirements, for example where a name or a photograph supplied by you has been added to a product
  • videos, CDs, tapes or computer software once you have opened them
  • perishable products (e.g. food and flowers)
  • periodicals or magazines.

If you want to cancel your order before you receive the product or wish to discuss the return of any item, please contact us by email, telephone or post – see Contact us for our details.

Returning products

If you want to cancel your order once you have received it, fill out the accompanying delivery slip, package the relevant item securely and send them both to us at RNLI (Sales) Ltd, Returns Department, 760 Thorp Arch Trading Estate, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, LS23 7BJ. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Until the product is returned to us, you must take reasonable care of it and ensure that it is returned to us in a re-saleable condition.

Remember, if you want to exercise your statutory right to cancel, you must send us your written notice within 7 working days of the date you receive the product. However, our Watertight Guarantee allows you to return most goods for a refund within 60 days.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the product to us unless we deliver the item to you in error or it is faulty or if we have supplied you with a substitute product. If we do not receive the product back from you with the delivery slip within 21 days of you cancelling your order then you must make the products available for collection and we may arrange for them to be collected. If so, the cost of collection will be deducted from the price you paid before issuing you with a refund.

If you cancel your order in accordance with the above provisions, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's normal postage charge. Note – to seek a refund under our Watertight Guarantee you must return the products to us.

This Returns and Cancellations Policy does not affect your statutory rights. For information on your statutory rights visit the Department of Trade and Industry's Consumer Gateway web site at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk.

Delivery

We aim to deliver your order within 14 days but at peak times you should allow up to 21 days. For goods marked DD and personalised Christmas cards please allow 28 days for delivery. N.B. For Republic of Ireland, we must have a telephone number for delivery purposes. If you have not provided a postcode or the address provided is inadequate in any way, we do not accept responsibility for late or non delivery.
